As more organizations adopt the responsible usage of artificial intelligence (AI), IT major Infosys has established an open-source 'Responsible AI' toolkit to address different risks and ethical concerns. Part of the Infosys Topaz Responsible AI Suite, this toolkit helps businesses adopt AI ethically.

Advanced Defensive Measures: Enhancing AI with Specialized Models and Algorithms

The new toolkit builds on the company's AI3S framework (scan, shield, and steer) by delivering advanced defensive technical measures, including specialized AI models and shielding algorithms. These tools help detect and mitigate privacy breaches, harmful content, copyright violations, security threats, biased outcomes, hallucinations, misuse, and deepfakes.

Boosting Transparency and Performance: The Flexibility of the Open-Source Toolkit

A key feature of the toolkit is its capacity to enhance transparency in AI-generated outputs, helping businesses understand AI decision-making while ensuring high performance and seamless user experience. Being open-source, it delivers flexibility, ease of implementation, and customization to suit different AI models and organizational needs, functioning well on both cloud and on-premise systems.

Infosys Executive Highlights the Importance of Ethical AI Adoption for Business Growth

Balakrishna D.R. (Bali), Executive Vice President at Infosys, said that ethical AI adoption is important for enterprise growth. “The toolkit ensures that businesses stay resilient and trustworthy while navigating the AI revolution. By making the toolkit open source, we are promoting a collaborative ecosystem that manages the complicated challenges of AI bias, opacity, and security. It is a testament to our dedication to making AI safe, reliable, and ethical for all,” he said.

Industry Experts Advocate for Open and Inclusive AI Development

Experts advocate for an open and inclusive approach to shaping the future of AI, ensuring widespread access to its advantages. This perspective has led to the formation of the AI Alliance, a consortium of IBM, Meta, and about 100 other organizations committed to promoting open, safe, and responsible AI development.

Sunil Abraham, Public Policy Director at Meta, stated that open-source code and datasets are crucial for empowering a range of AI innovators and users, equipping them with the essential tools to prioritize safety, diversity, and economic opportunities for all. Organizations can access the Infosys Responsible AI toolkit through the company’s official platforms, the company said.
